Welcome to the Mablethorpe Boatshed

The Boatshed began helping people in 1905, back then saving lives, as a Lifeboat Station. And now, over 100 years later, the boatshed is still committed to serving the people of Mablethorpe.

The Boatshed is a Multi Use Centre, open to all, and dedicated to bringing valuable information, services and facilities to Mablethorpe and the wider surrounding community.

The centre offers a wide variety of information, support and services. The Boatshed:
  • Provides access to information leaflets
  • Offers support and advice to those seeking information and where information may be unavailable, offer signposting services to specialist advisors such as counsellors, CAB, Sure Start, Social Services etc.
  • Offers regular surgeries by professional bodies, e.g. Relate, PCT, The Volunteer Bureau, Pension Service, and Age Concern.
  • Provides meeting/training rooms (for private hire)
  • Offers open access to ICT equipment.
  • Displays information for local job opportunities (inc. Connexions)
  • Provides facilities for the disabled including wheelchair friendly kitchen and walk in shower room.
The Boat used to leave the Boatshed, with the crew, to rescue people at sea. Now we hope people will come into the boatshed to see what the crew have to offer.
